Raising Worshipers

Parents, teens, kids, and families, join us at 9:00 AM on July 12 for a one-week Equip Class on helping kids not just survive the worship service, but engage in a meaningful way! The month of July is our Summer Refresh month at CBC, during which 1st–5th graders will attend the worship service. This gives our Kids Ministry volunteers a much-needed summer rest while also creating an opportunity for families to worship together. This interactive class, taught by Justin Lorig, is designed to give families practical tools for worshipping together on Sundays. Kids of all ages are invited to attend alongside their parents.

Heaven Q&A

As Christians, we know that our true home is in Heaven, but what does Scripture tell us Heaven is like? Join us on July 19 at 9:00 am in B10 for a Q&A session as we discuss how the Bible informs our hope for the present and future. Come with questions and be encouraged as we grow our understanding of Heaven and how this should shape our lives on earth.
Questions may also be submitted in the lobby on Sundays or sent to share@cbcva.org.

The Gospel at Work

The gospel speaks to every area of our lives, including our workplace and vocation. This series will explore gospel-oriented perspectives of our careers and how Christ can use them for His purposes. Join us for this 3-week series beginning on August 2 as we discuss what it looks like to live out our Christian walk in the workplace.

Zechariah Bible Study

Inductive Bible study is a method of studying scripture that walks through three steps: observation, interpretation, and application. Beginning Wednesday, August 12, this eight-week series will train attendees in the method of inductive study as we walk through the book of Zechariah. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of this powerful prophetic book while strengthening skills for personal Bible study.

Fear of Man

Do you ever let a fear of others hold you back from living a fully devoted life to Christ? This 3-week series will explore the root cause, symptoms, and solutions to an unhealthy fear of man. Come learn and be encouraged about how the truth of the gospel empowers us to overcome fear. This series will meet in room B10 starting on August 23.

Church History

Christ promised in the gospels that He would build His church. Studying church history from the book of Acts to the present day reveals how God has been fulfilling that promise. Join us on September 13 for this 4-week series that outlines key points of church history from Pentecost to the Pre-Reformation. Whether you are a church history buff or are new to this area of study, this class will help you see how God continues to use His people in His redemptive work.
